Lessons
Laura offers one-to-one singing lessons in person in Louth, Lincolnshire, as well as online via Zoom. Tom offers online singing lessons via Zoom. You will be emailed a Zoom link when you book an online lesson.
Singing lessons are either 60 min or 30 min in length, depending on your preference, experience and abilities. Please get in touch to see whether a 30 min or 60 min lesson would be most suitable for you to start with.
A first online singing lesson typically includes:

- Questions from us about what your goals and challenges are
- A personal assessment of your voice
- An easy-to-understand explanation of why your voice is doing what it does
- Structured vocal exercises (vocalise) tailored to your voice and goals
- Working on your choice of song (if there is time)
- Instructions on how and what to practice
- A plan for moving forward with lessons
- Time for any questions
Subsequent online singing lessons will include:
- A 5 minute check-in with you and your voice, discussing homework from the previous lesson and any changes to goals
- Structured vocal exercises (vocalise) tailored to your voice that get more challenging as time goes on
- Working on your choice of song/s
- Performance work (if applicable)
- Instructions on how and what to practice
- Time for any questions
Lessons typically consist of around 25/50 minutes of singing and 5/10 minutes of talking/wrapping up time. All lessons are recorded and send to you afterwards.
Online Singing Lessons Requirements
Online singing lessons with Your Voice Studio are held over Zoom. You do not need an account to use this app, and if you choose to sign up it is free.
You’ll need a good camera and microphone on your computer or device; a high-speed internet connection is recommended. You may also choose to use headphones during your lesson.
When you are ready for your lesson, you will also need to enable ‘Original Sound for Musicians’ in Audio Settings on your Zoom app when using a computer or laptop. Note: This setting may not be available on tablets or phones.

Payment
Lessons are paid by BACS within 24h of making a booking in order to secure the slot.
